Secrets of the Rich and Wealthy

"Why does the Rich get richer while the Poor gets poorer?"

                        This is a timely question that has been used over and over by the masses. Some say it has been a badly overused sentence by TV media, bloggers and the internet, publications and yes, by the old disheartened folks everywhere. But have we all found the answer? Why indeed does the Rich go on getting even more richer, wealthier and successful? Why do the poor toil all their life, work to the bone in sweat and blood only to find out in the end that their children shall inherit not only their poverty, but also the responsibility to work double harder in order to feed them when they get old. They struggle to raise their children, they get old, their children now then struggles to raise their parents. A vicious cycle. What is the answer? Why do the rich need not experience that kind of life? Why are they rich? Why are we poor? Do they have something special that we do not have? What is their secret?

Yes they do have a secret! 

               In my quest for answers I have compiled at least seven steps on becoming wealthy. TV and radio programs how to, the internet, getting rich seminars, networking orientations, gurus, motivational speakers and other media teach them as a guide. These are the basic steps, compressed, simplified and non-religious oriented.

1. Invest in your self. - Education and knowledge. Good education leads to greater knowledge. Good knowledge leads to better jobs and careers, better businesses, better decisions in life. Some say a degree is not necessary, as there are dropout millionaires (elite few) but everyone will agree that it helps a lot.

2. Plan your financials wisely. - A golden advise. We should manage our money wisely. The Middle-class often complain about their lack of money. But go inside their homes, you will find out that they are full of stuff that they usually do not need. New gadgets, cars, motorcycles, figurines, appliances, jewelries. (investment, they say) Look into yard sales and discover fortunes within them. We must learn how to save.

3. Business. - The Filipinos were trained to be workers. There is a saying: To a Pinoy- "study hard to get a nice job..." To a Chinese- "study hard to run a nice business..." Some say we got these from the colonization of Spain. Does it matter? Change your children's outlook and see the difference.

4.  Investments and Passive income. - Most Pinoys earn and then extinguish their salaries. They say, "awaiting next payday..." This is wrong. Learn to save. Learn to invest. Many institutions teach multitudes of investment platforms to individuals and corporations.

5. Persistence. - Never give up, that is the key. 

6. Learn from the masters. - Look up to the successful people. Learn from them. Emulate them. Always calculate and review your efforts. Align yourself with people you want to be.

7. Persistence times two. -  Do one to six. Stop, review your steps. Adjust them as necessary. Then do these until we succeed.

                   More or less this is the formula taught to us by the self-help teachers of our time. They are right of course. Follow them and you will succeed. But ask yourself. Is this the real secret?

                   They are called "The HOW TO's of becoming Rich." But I'm telling you right now, The "how to" is not the secret.

The REAL SECRET is... "The WHY"

                               I don't intend to make fun of you guys. These are real and proven steps. All I am saying is, it is not the secret. These steps are correct. Follow them and you will improve, better yet succeed. But there is a real secret...
